Privacy policy
What is collected when you read this site, who else sees it, and how to get it removed.

The short version
There are no accounts, no logins and no sign-up forms on this site, so there is nothing for you to hand over. What is collected is the ordinary technical record of a web request, plus analytics that tell us which pages are read. Nothing is sold.
What is collected
- Server and analytics records. When you load a page, this site records your IP address, browser user-agent string, the page requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and the country your request came from. This is used to count visits and understand which pages are useful. Raw request logs are kept for seven days; the aggregated counts derived from them are kept indefinitely and are not linked to you.
- Google Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics (measurement ID G-4J3JG03VFD), which sets cookies and reports usage data to Google. See Google's own privacy policy and their description of how partner sites' data is used.
- Visitor identification (RB2B). If you agree to tracking, this site loads a script from RB2B which attempts to identify the company, and in some cases the individual, behind a visit. It runs only after you accept; if you decline, or ignore the banner, it is never loaded. See RB2B's privacy policy. To withdraw agreement, clear this site's data in your browser and choose Reject when the banner reappears.
- Advertising. This site may display advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, and may personalise them based on your prior browsing. You can review and change this at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of personalised advertising from participating vendors at optout.aboutads.info.
- Cloudflare. Traffic to this site passes through Cloudflare, which acts as a content delivery network and filters malicious requests. It necessarily sees your IP address and may set a security cookie.
What is not collected
No accounts, no newsletter list, no contact form, no tracking pixels belonging to social networks, and no attempt to identify you across other websites. The SOC 2 readiness self-assessment is scored entirely in your browser: your answers are held in your browser's local storage and in the page address, and are never transmitted to this site or anywhere else. The same is true of the control checklist download, which is generated on your own machine.
Cookies
Cookies on this site come from the third parties named above — analytics, advertising and security — rather than from the site itself. You can block or delete them in your browser settings; the site will continue to work without them, and the interactive tools will continue to remember your answers because local storage is separate from cookies and never leaves your device.
Legal basis and your rights
Where UK GDPR applies, the lawful basis for the technical records above is legitimate interest — running and securing a website and understanding whether its pages are read. Analytics and advertising cookies rely on consent where local law requires it.
You have the right to ask what is held about you, to ask for it to be deleted, to object to processing, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Requests go to contact@auditen.com. Because nothing here identifies you by name, an IP address and an approximate time is usually needed to find the relevant records.

Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described rather than quietly substituted.
